Hello, I’m Joshua Winterson, professional portrait photographer, and Dtales is my studio. This is my personal diary, where I share with you my latest pictures, talk a little bit about how the images are constructed and designed, and relate the stories behind them.

I’ve been creating beautiful images of people for eight years, and I’ve shot hundreds of weddings and portrait projects -- in my beloved hometown of Melbourne, interstate, and internationally. A Rainy Summer's day

One rainy day recently (Melbourne's February weather living up to it's reputation for unpredictability), the family of Don, Sevim and baby Selvi dropped by for a little portrait session in my studio. We were going to have an outdoor session at a park, but I thought given the circumstances, the studio would be better. Baby Selvi has the most amazing eyes, doesn't she? She's the kind of girl I need only to push a button to get a good picture. Well, maybe a bit more than that, but certainly a remarkable baby. Best regards, Joshua Winterson.
