This wedding is proof that you can get results outdoors in Melbourne in the middle of winter, even at twilight. Barbara was so sweet; I knew she would shine on camera. This was a very quick two hour shoot, but the clients will be getting at least 230 edited images. The ceremony was held at the venerable St John's catholic church, in Clifton Hill, with its wonderfully sombre light, and the location material was done at the nearby Darling Gardens.
A little note here about how a photographer thinks: the initial request after the service was the Edinburgh Gardens. But I knew the just-as-near Darling gardens would be equally suitable and was on slightly more elevated ground ...therefore would receive a few more precious bits of sun, and at close to 5pm with the light fading by the second, this does make a difference. Warm regards, Joshua Winterson.
