I loved shooting this wedding for Maryanne & Robert; it was a wonderful bonus to shoot in a famous location (Flemington Racecourse, home of the Melbourne Cup) with some terrific picture opportunities. We got some really sweet pictures. I was so glad to have done my regular pre-ceremony reconnaisance of the area with this one in particular -- I would not have been able to shoot some of this without first getting acquainted with the details of the location. (Special thanks to manager Lauren Fletcher for taking the time to show me around -- she mentioned to me that this year the Melbourne Cup will be celebrating it's 150th year - isn't that amazing?) Technically, this was another breakthrough event for me, because I was "pushing the envelope" with some of these shots. Regular readers of this blog know that I set myself the challenge of shooting every wedding differently; in this one there were several elements that make it unique. I'll let you study the pictures and compare it with some of my previous wedding work to see if you can spot some of the differences. Best regards, Joshua Winterson.
The celebrant was the wonderful
